About Agriculture

This is one industry that plays a very central role to the economy of Pakistan with a contribution of almost 20% to the GDP and more than 40% of labor force. It is an especially vital source of foreign exchange earnings. The major crop products include cotton, sugarcane, rice, maize and wheat. Chemicals are used to protect the crops and increase their yield especially in fertilizers. The most significant chemicals offered by AMC to the agriculture industry are sulfuric acid, nitric acid, ammonia, phosphate, potassium, calcium, magnesium and others.
